What Would Happen If 1 Rupee Equaled 1 Dollar?

What if one day you wake up and realize that all of your money is now valued at dollars? This would be a very good reason for you to be happy, right? But have you thought that if  a US dollar becomes equal to one Rupee, then all of the products would cost the same? Why would other countries invest in us when they can get resources for a much lesser price from other countries. Our business and our industries would shut down and the trades would stop. The markets would fall. So, do you think it is good to have a weaker currency when you have stronger resources?
