Season 3 of Great Indian Institutes kickstarts with the story of two of the most skill-driven institutes of India - Rabindranath Tagore University of Bhopal and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in Patiala.

It's a university that not only believes in imparting education but also transforming individuals into responsible professionals. RNTU is the first skill-based university of India.
The Rabindranath Tagore University aims to provide the students with skill integration along with higher education. The courses are mostly based on vocational development with special focus on practical for a hands-on experience of the industry. The curriculum incorporates a special skill training, a unique one for every semester, enabling the students to be more prepared for the life outside the campus.

The 52-acre, state of the art infrastructure laden campus includes engineering workshops, skill development centers, an energy park and the Centre of excellence for renewable energy. RNTU has 32 courses that consist of technical and non - technical subjects.

The university is a hub of numerous co- curricular activities that help with the academics and helps in personality enrichment of the students. The institute provides courses that are categorized into three units i.e. schools, centers and departments. The programs start from the +12 level to PhD level.

Education at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology purely focuses on the holistic growth of the students. The students are divided into clubs and teams of their interests and are given the opportunity to showcase their projects at a global level. Initiatives like the project semester, exchange programs and teacher training workshops not only enable students to gain industry experience but also provides them and the faculty with international exposure. There are almost 40-50 clubs at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology which include the Science and Technology Entrepreneur's Park, Pratigya Abhiyan, NOX Dance Crew, Fine arts and photography.
